Skinny Margherita Pizza

gluten free, low carb, low cal, simple, delicious, scrumptious, perfect...

Skinny Margherita Pizza
adapted from Delighted Momma


For the dough:

1 1/2 cup of flax seed meal
2 tsp of baking powder
1 tsp of oregano
1 tsp of garlic powder
1 tsp of himalayan sea salt
1/2 tsp of stevia
2 eggs, 1 egg (whites only) 3 tbs of olive oil
1/2 cup of water

For the toppings:

Fresh basil
Pizza sauce of choice
Black pepper


Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
Mix dry ingredients together first, then add in the wet ingredients.
Let the dough settle for a few minutes until it thickens.
Spread dough as thin as possible on a large round pan prayed with olive oil.
Bake for about 15 minutes and take out of the oven.
Add on pizza sauce, cheese, fresh basil, etc.
Place back in the oven for about 5-10 minutes until cheese is browning.

  1. That looks absolutely amazing...where do you get the flax seed meal? Trader Joes perhaps? :D

  2. I actually found the flaxseed meal at a local grocery store in their healthy/gluten free area. I'm not so sure Trader Joes carries it, or at least I haven't seen it there.

  3. Does 2 eggs, 1 egg (whites only) mean 2 whole eggs + 1 egg white? Thanks!

    1. Thanks! We made it, and it was delicious! I definitely will make this again. I think yours was thinner than mine - I loved the crispy edges, so maybe I'll make mini pizzas next time. :)
